Getting ready for 2020 and doing some self-inventory...
The four areas to consider when planning your personal growth for the new year are:
1. Relationship with God (covered in previous blog).
2. Relationship with Others
3. Relationship with myself
4. Relationship with my Work.
When I consider my relationship with others, I take into consideration the following:
Who do I need to spend more time with?
Who do I need to spend less time with?
Where do I need to grow with those that challenge me as a person?
Some people are just toxic and you need emergency relational surgery and cut them out of your life. Who are they? What is your action plan to spend less time with them?
Some people, like a great exercise plan, need to be included in your life. Who are they?
And finally the challenging ones. These are the people are that in your life circumstantially (co-workers, ex-spouses, in-laws, other family members you see ever so often).
These people when you come into contact with them, really seem to trigger you and help bring out your best non-Christlike qualities.
These people are here to teach you a lesson. Who are they, and how will you learn the lesson’s you are supposed to learn from them?
How do you want to show up in the world to other people?
Take time to consider this as you plan your goals for 2020.
Stay tuned for part 3…
